Research projects at the IPM are funded, among other sources, by various third-party grants and research consortia. In addition, individual researchers receive support in the form of fellowships.

German Center for Infection Research

The DZIF is a Germany-wide research network dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases.

More than 700 employees conduct research at the DZIF with the shared goal of translation: the transfer of findings from basic research into clinical practice.

Since 1988, the Jürgen Manchot Foundation has been supporting highly qualified doctoral candidates in medicine, biology related to human medicine, chemistry, and economics through a doctoral fellowship awarded every six months.
