My doctoral research focuses on understanding how different antimicrobial compounds work and which mechanisms underlie their activity. A major part of my experimental work centres on studies involving vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) and other enterococci. In addition, I work with fungi such as Aspergillus fumigatus and Candida albicans to investigate various substances in other microbiological models. The overall aim of my research is to elucidate the mode of action of different compounds and thereby contribute to a better understanding of new antimicrobial strategies. In my free time, I enjoy writing and reading, doing puzzles, and running.
